1. The steam pressure of qualified pump oil should not be too high. Steam pressure is an important parameter for pump oil, as it is a factor that ensures the vacuum pump to continuously and quickly obtain vacuum and maintain the stability of the ultimate pressure. Pumps with different vacuum degrees have different requirements for the saturated vapor pressure of the pump oil. For ultra-high vacuum or high vacuum with high vacuum degrees, the saturated vapor pressure should be lower. Therefore, select the appropriate vacuum pump oil based on the pump's needs.

2. Don't buy the most expensive pump oil, buy the most suitable one, and another performance indicator is the viscosity of the oil. If the viscosity is too high, the resistance of the moving parts will increase, which will increase energy loss. If the viscosity is too low, the sealing effect of the oil will be weakened, which can easily lead to leakage and deterioration.

3. Strong antioxidant stability. In the process of vacuum pumping, the rotor rotates at a high speed, and the temperature rises. The oil is oxidized and decomposed by heat, and then volatilized. It is discharged from the exhaust port, which leads to waste of oil. Therefore, oil with strong antioxidant stability should be selected.

4. Strong corrosion resistance and emulsification resistance. Due to the wide range of pump applications and complex operating conditions, some of the extracted air contains corrosive gases or water vapor, which can react chemically with vacuum pump oil, contaminate the pump oil, and accelerate the emulsification of the oil. Therefore, the pump oil should have good aviation corrosion performance and anti emulsification performance.

5. It has a high flash point. Flash point refers to the temperature required for the initial flash of a mixture of vapor and air on the surface of a flammable liquid in contact with an open flame. If the temperature is too low, it will affect the saturated vapor pressure.

6. Vacuum pump oil requires a lower limit pressure.
