3, good insulation performance, electric discharge oil should have good insulation performance to maintain the appropriate insulation strength between the tool electrode and the workpiece.

4, not volatile, the electric discharge oil is not volatile, that is, the thermal stability and oxidation stability is strong, can extend its working life.

5, low aromatic hydrocarbon content, electric discharge oil to very low aromatic hydrocarbon content, does not stimulate the skin and nervous system, harmless to the human body;

6, colorless and odorless, the electric spark oil should be colorless and odorless, transparent and froth-free, and the oil color is clear, which helps the user to observe the working condition of the spark plug and improve the working environment.

If the flash point is as high as possible, the viscosity should be low. Because in the process of electrical processing, the contact surface distance of the discharge is 0.03mm-0.06mm, low viscosity, good oil permeability, good thermal conductivity, it is not easy to produce secondary discharge of metal or graphite particles on the surface of the workpiece between the electrode and the workpiece, which can improve the surface roughness and relatively prevent the electrode from carbon accumulation.

Electric discharge oil use points of attention
