At present, water-soluble cutting fluid is widely used in automobile manufacturing, logistics, mold, machinery and other departments. Due to its increasingly wide application in various fields, the requirements for application are also increasing.
1) What are the requirements for selecting water-soluble cutting fluid? Water based cutting fluid shall be selected for occasions where machining efficiency is sought. During high-speed cutting, the heat generated in the cutting area is large, resulting in high temperatures that will accelerate the wear and failure of the fixture, as well as thermal damage and deformation of the workpiece. High speed cutting generally does not produce chips or scales, and the expectations for the lubricity of the cutting fluid are not as high as those for medium and low speed machining; At the same time, because the higher the cutting temperature is, the more likely the oil-based cutting fluid is to produce environmental health and safety problems such as smoke and fire, so the water-based cutting fluid with good cooling performance is often used. 2) What is the difference between water-soluble cutting fluid and synthetic cutting fluid? Water soluble cutting fluid is a kind of oil-based cutting fluid dispersed in water with surfactant added. Water is used as a medium to reduce temperature, oil is used as a lubricant, and surfactants emulsify the mixture of oil and water. Water-based cutting fluid is a relatively new and environmentally friendly, non-toxic cutting fluid. Synthetic cutting fluid is a fully oily cutting fluid. It is a relatively ancient formula, but it is necessary for certain workpiece cutting and has no toxicity. 3) Which type of water-based cutting fluid is better? Water-based cutting fluids refer to cutting fluids that can be diluted with water, including products that should be eliminated - emulsified oils; Fully synthetic without mineral oil; Microemulsions containing a small amount of mineral oil (some call them semi synthetic) are currently internationally recognized as the best water-based cutting fluid. 4) Can water-soluble cutting fluid be used as hydraulic oil for excavator? It can't be used. Water soluble cutting fluid is mainly used to take away cutting heat in cutting, reduce the temperature of tools, protect tools and improve the quality of parts. However, excavator hydraulic oil generally uses anti wear oil, mainly to reduce the wear between the hydraulic cylinder and piston. The principles, purposes, and usage scenarios of the two are completely different.
5) How to dilute cutting fluid with too high viscosity? If it is water-based cutting fluid, add water directly. If it is oil-based cutting fluid, add some white mineral oil for dilution. If it is not, add kerosene or diesel. But it is better to call the supplier to give some low viscosity cutting fluid. 6) Description of applicable fields and types of cutting fluid? Applicable fields: It is applicable to the cutting, high-speed cutting and heavy load cutting of metal products such as cast iron, alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, high nickel steel, heat-resistant steel, mold steel, etc., including turning, milling, boring, high-speed tapping, drilling, reaming, broaching, gear hobbing and other cutting special lubricants. The low viscosity lubricating Base Oil is added with vegetable oil, antioxidant, anti-wear agent, rust inhibitor, etc., and two kinds of oil type water type lubricants are prepared after blending. 7) Is it better to use cutting fluid or cutting fluid for CNC machining center? This is closely related to the cooling properties of the cutting fluid. Cutting fluid is more effective in lubrication than cooling, which can ensure the continuity of chips and smooth chip removal, but it is not environmentally friendly, and is not easy to clean when processing parts in batches. The cutting fluid has a greater cooling effect than lubrication, and has a good effect on low-speed machining. Moreover, because most of the cutting fluid is water, it is easy to clean the product. However, it is easy to damage the tool when processing products with high work hardening and poor heat dissipation. For example, when machining stainless steel, the effect of using cutting fluid is absolutely better than that of cutting fluid. 8) The circulation way of water-soluble cutting fluid in CNC machine tools and its waste oil treatment? It is difficult to treat water-soluble cutting fluid because most local governments do not allow it to be poured into rivers, ditches and sewers. The following two methods can be used: ① Outsourcing vendors to handle this is the simplest method, but due to the fewer and farther dumping areas, the cost will become very expensive; ② The chemical decomposition of emulsion is the only accepted treatment method at present. In chemical decomposition, a small amount of chemical agent is added to the emulsion to separate it into oil and water. Oil with less composition can be disposed of by combustion; Water accounts for 95% of the volume and can be poured into the sewer after obtaining permission from the local supervisor. Like the oil content standard, the local competent authority needs to consider its heavy metals, pH, temperature, biochemical oxygen demand, phenol and other chemical contents, and it is necessary to consult the local competent official.
