The world's science and technology are changing, lubrication processes are changing, environmental protection and energy conservation are changing, and the laws governing the use of chemicals are also changing. Therefore, the lubrication principle of metal forming that has been used for many years has also changed. Driven by the market demand and various changes, the stamping oil market is quietly undergoing significant changes. The water-soluble stamping oil (also known as "volatile stamping oil or stamping oil") launched by many domestic and foreign manufacturers has begun to enter the market on a large scale in an attempt to replace the mineral lubricating oil that has been used for many years.
The difference between oil-free lubricant (also called water-based lubricant) and water-soluble stamping oil is introduced from three aspects for reference. 1. Basic synthesis process Water soluble stamping oil: mineral oil is used as the base material, and emulsifier, water and rust inhibitor are added to synthesize it. In consideration of different forming difficulties of the workpiece, different types of products have different proportions of mineral oil. Because the biggest characteristic of the research and development background of water-soluble stamping oil is that it is easy to clean or free of cleaning, a large number of volatile substances need to be added to reduce residual products. Oil free (water-based) lubricant: It is synthesized by taking water as the base material, adding macromolecular extreme pressure resistant polymer, thermosensitive reaction polymer and anti rust factor. It is required to be free of any grease and volatile toxic substances. 2. Technical performance Water soluble stamping oil: 1) The solution is easy to delaminate during storage or use; 2) It can meet the forming or drawing requirements of general workpieces, but it is difficult to meet or reach the requirements for heavy load, high-strength steel, deep drawing, etc; Long term use has a great impact on the wear of the die; 3) A large amount of degreaser and other chemicals shall be added in the cleaning process, and the cleaning water temperature shall be generally controlled at 50-60 ℃; Oil free (water-based) lubricant: 1) It can be fully mixed with water without sedimentation and stratification; 2) Since it does not contain any grease, the normal temperature water at 20-40 ℃ can be completely cleaned during the cleaning process, without adding any degreaser and related chemicals; 3) In the stamping process, the lubricant does not contain grease, so the hot melting property is low. It can quickly form steam to take away heat, reduce the mold temperature, and extend the mold life; Therefore, it is very helpful to improve the stroke. 3. Safety Water soluble stamping oil: this type of product usually has a short shelf life, which is easy to produce fission and stink during use, and has a great impact on the production environment; At the same time, chemicals such as solvents and emulsifiers are added to the product, which will cause harm to skin and respiratory tract; More importantly, some substances in the product are carcinogenic and must be strictly treated when discharged. At present, the test reports usually provided for such products are basically some general technical performance test reports, and no test reports related to toxicity have been provided for users' reference or use. Oil free (water-based) lubricant: this type of product has a very long shelf life. Because it uses water as engineering material and does not add any toxic chemicals, it can directly contact with skin, and it will not cause harm to human organs such as respiratory tract after long-term use. In particular, whether the VOC content reaches the standard when the workpiece is directly welded without cleaning is a very important detection indicator, Obviously, oil-based lubricant and water-soluble stamping oil are not up to the standard.
