What are the applications of environment-friendly synthetic ester Base Oil in lubricating oil?

1. High temperature chain oil:

The esters used for high temperature chain oil are diesters and polyol esters, and trimellites are also used. The market driving force is higher thermal stability and lower deposits. Many products are manufactured under high temperature. The lubricating temperature is above 150 ℃, and the short-term temperature can reach 1000 ℃. The diester can be used below 200 ℃, while the polyol ester and trimethylene ester are used for 200~300.

2. Internal combustion engine oil:
They are mainly diesters and polyol esters, while others include dimeric esters, polyesters, monoesters and phthalates. Its market driving force is to extend the oil change period, save fuel consumption and reduce emissions. The volatility of low viscosity synthetic oil is much lower than that of mineral oil of the same year. The excellent thermal stability makes the use of low viscosity ester with less sediment and good low temperature fluidity.

① The unique molecular polarity of synthetic ester makes the oil film firmly adsorbed on the surface of engine parts to solve dry friction during cold start.

② The lubricity of synthetic ester oil is extremely excellent, and its volatility is much lower than that of mineral oil and PAO with the same viscosity. At the same time, the excellent thermal stability makes the use of low-viscosity ester with less deposits and good low-temperature fluidity. Save fuel, increase oil pressure and improve power performance; Reduce exhaust emissions and engine noise.

③ The natural dissolving ability can fully exert the function of additives to prevent the formation of oil sludge and sediment, and the superior dispersing and cleaning ability can keep the surface of engine parts clean.

3. Two-stroke oil:
The esters used for two-stroke oil are dimeric esters and polyol esters, as well as trimellites and polyesters. The market is driven by the cleanness and biodegradability of low-emission engines. The advantage of two-stroke oil ester over mineral oil is that it can clean the engine, reduce the accumulation of ring adhesion and deposits in the ring groove, skirt and inner cavity, and improve the ignition point performance and spark plug life. Because the existence of polar ester increases the adhesion on the metal surface, the lubricity of ester is better than that of hydrocarbon.

4. Compressor oil:
The esters used for compressor oil are usually diesters, polyol esters, phthalates and trimellites, and the others include double esters. Its market driving force is energy saving, biodegradation and flame resistance. Advantages of ester in the use of compressor; The cost of compressor operation is relatively low, and the safety and ecology are good. Extend the oil change period, produce less oil sludge and paint film, reduce the carrying of low volatility, high flash point and low toxicity, and the safety is better than mineral oil. Excellent lubricity, thermal stability and conductivity.

Another main feature of synthetic ester oil is low carbon residue, which inhibits the generation of sludge, sediment and carbon deposit during use, improves the cleanness of crankcase and oil, makes heat transfer good, reduces friction and resistance of moving parts, thus reducing maintenance and downtime, and can reduce power consumption by 7.2% and save power by 3%. The synthetic ester is used in reciprocating air compressor, and its high flash point and good oxidation stability show its advantages.

4. Aviation lubricant:

Generally, polyol esters are used. The market driving force is to improve thermal stability and reduce volatilization. The viscosity of the second generation aviation gas turbine lubricant at 100 ℃ is 1 nm2/s, and the viscosity of the third generation at 100 ℃ is 4~5 nm2/s. With the improvement of jet engine power, the requirements for some thermal stability are also increased, and the operating temperature has reached 175~200 ℃.

5. Hydraulic fluid:
The market driving forces of the diester, polyol ester, PAG ester and double ester used in hydraulic fluid are biodegradability, recyclability and high and low temperature performance. Advantages of esters; With consideration of environmental protection, reasonable fire resistance level, good high and low temperature fluidity, good thermal stability, and good wear resistance.

7. Automotive Gear Oil:
Most of them are diesters and polyol esters, and the market driving force is to extend the oil change period and save energy.

8. Production drilling lubricant:
Monoesters are commonly used as drilling lubricants, and diesters also have a certain amount. The market driving force is biodegradability, low toxicity, good low-temperature performance and drilling and production speed.

9. Additive carrier:
Common diesters, phthalates and polyol esters are driven by environmental protection. With good solubility, clean combustion, biodegradability and low toxicity, ester has obvious advantages over other compounds as carrier.

10. Metalworking oil:
Monoesters, diesters and polyether PAG esters are used in metalworking oils, and sometimes polyol esters, polyesters and phthalates are also used. The market driving force is performance and waste treatment costs. The advantages of ester in this application are: environmentally friendly, good extreme pressure, can be used as Friction Modifier, biodegradation and low toxicity, and good wettability for machine tools and processing parts.

11. Grease:

The esters used for lubricating grease are diesters and polyol esters, and sometimes phthalates and trimellites are also used. The market driving force is biodegradability to replace white oil. When the grease is required to have one of the following characteristics, the ester can be used as base oil: low temperature fluidity, high temperature use, biodegradability and low toxicity.

12. Textile machine oil:
The esters used for this purpose are monoesters, diesters and polyol esters, as well as PAG esters and trimellites. The market driving force is high thermal stability, biodegradability and low wetting agent toxicity.

13. Release oil:
TMP and PE oleates are generally used, and phthalates are also used.

14. Turbine oil:
Synthetic gas turbine oil is mainly used for aviation gas turbines, as well as civil gas turbines and steam turbines. Synthetic gas turbine oil is characterized by excellent rust resistance, excellent low temperature fluidity and high temperature oxidation resistance. Synthetic steam turbine oil is characterized by excellent oxidation resistance and chemical stability, demulsification and good rust resistance.
