Basic Barium Dinonylnaphthalene Sulfonate Chorus BSB

Introduction

Basic barium dinonylnaphthalene sulfonate (Chorus BSB) is a versatile oil-soluble antirust additive used in rust preventive formulations.

01. It has excellent anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties for ferrous metals.

02. It has good oil-soluble stability and excellent demulsibility.

03. It has an alkalinity reserve in the form of barium hydroxide Ba(OH)2 with a base value of approximately 45mgKOH/g to neutralize acidic components in lubricant oil.

04. Chorus BSB has a base value from barium hydroxide, which can result in slight corrosion to copper and some nonferrous metals.

05. In some extreme-pressure oil formulations, Chorus BSB may slightly affect the oil's extreme-pressure performance.

It is well compatible with other functional oil additives and when combined with zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate (ZDDP), high temperature antioxidant, Antiwear EP Additive and other Lubricant Additive Component, it increases the rust-preventive performance of the anti-rust fluid products.
