Excessive filling of grease will cause a large amount of grease to accumulate in the bearing cap and the inner cavity of the bearing, which will increase friction, increase the temperature, and seriously affect the heat dissipation of the bearing system. Similarly, if the filling amount is insufficient, the oil film of the grease will be repaired. If the performance is not strong, the bearing will run under poor lubrication and burn out due to insufficient lubrication. Therefore, it is important to determine the proper amount of grease in the bearing.

Generally, the bearing should not be filled with grease, so that it can be installed to 1/2 to 3/4 of the total space of the bearing cavity. Horizontal bearings fill 2/3 to 3/4 of the inner cavity space; vertically mounted bearings fill the upper end of the inner cavity space by 1/2 of the inner cavity space, and lower end bearings are filled by 3/4 of the inner cavity space.

In an environment that is prone to pollution, for low-speed or medium-speed bearings, the entire space in the bearing cover should be filled; for high-speed bearings, the bearings should be placed in high-quality lubricating oil before installing grease, usually with the installed grease Soak it in the Base Oil to avoid bearing burnout due to insufficient grease on the friction surface during startup.

The lubrication of the motor bearing relies on the lubricating oil that is precipitated when the three-dimensional fiber network structure in the grease is broken under the action of shearing, forming a layer of lubricating film on the rotating elements of the bearing, the bearing seat and the bearing race for lubrication. Effective.

When the newly installed grease bearing starts to rotate, the grease is first thrown out from the rotating element, and quickly circulates and cools in the cavity of the bearing cover. Then the grease is cut into the rotating element from the outside of the rotating bearing race. The part of the grease that is close to the surface of the rotating element breaks the fiber network structure by shearing, so that a small amount of precipitated lubricating oil is on the rotating element and the seat. A lubricating film is formed on the surface of the ring. The remaining part of the grease still maintains an intact fiber network structure, which plays a role of cooling and sealing.

When the bearing just starts to rotate, the turbulence of the grease generates frictional heat, which causes the bearing temperature to rise to a maximum. Then, with the continuous shearing action, the lubricating oil is precipitated, and after a layer of lubricating film is formed on the rotating element of the bearing, the bearing seat and the bearing race, this frictional heat is gradually reduced, and at the same time, it is continuously thrown out from the rotating element. The lubricating grease in the cavity of the bearing cap has a good cooling effect, so that the temperature of the bearing gradually decreases and approaches an equilibrium value.
